The European Union has exhausted its stockpile of weapons and does not have a magic wand with which it can provide more ammunition to Kiev, the EU’s top representative for foreign policy and security, Josep Borrell, said on the air of the Ukrainian TV channel “Рада”.
“You need more, and we need to give more, but I don’t know how to do magic. I don’t even have a magic wand. The capabilities of the European Union’s defense industry were limited,” Borel said.
He also noted that all the shells that were stored in the arsenals of the EU member states were provided to Ukraine.
Earlier, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, wrote a letter to his EU colleagues, warning about the extreme shortage of ammunition in the armed forces of Ukraine.
