The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has published a press release that briefly presents the mission of the IMF. year preliminary results of the visit to Armenia from September 13 to 25. It specifically states that the International Monetary Fund predicts that Armenia’s economic growth will weaken, reaching 7 and 5 percent in 2023 and 2024, respectively.
It is noteworthy that the forecasts of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the World Bank (WB) are not as optimistic as the forecasts of the RA government. According to the ADB forecast, the economic growth will be 7% in 2023, 5.5% in 2024, and the WB forecast is more pessimistic: 6.6 and 4.3%, respectively.
However, in the draft law on the state budget of 2024, which has already received the positive conclusion of the Standing Committee on Financial Credit and Budgetary Affairs of the National Assembly, it is stipulated that in 2024 RA economic growth will be at least 7%.
