Independent candidate Vladimir Putin received 87.3 percent of the preliminary results of the presidential elections.

On Sunday evening, polling stations in the presidential elections across Russia closed their doors, and members of the Russian Election Commission began counting the votes in all centers and sending them to the capital, Moscow.

After processing 99.7% of the votes in the Russian presidential elections across the country, independent candidate Vladimir Putin leads the results with 87.3%, followed by Nikolai Kharitonov with 4.3%, Vladislav Davankov with 3.83% and Leonid Slutsky with 3.21%, according to the Central Election Commission.

When all the votes were counted, Putin received 85.13% in the capital, Moscow, 82.1% in the Sverdlovsk Oblast, 88% in the Volgograd Oblast, and 93.6% in Crimea.

Davankov got 6.65%, Kharitonov 3.84%, and Slutsky 2.83% after all the votes were counted in the capital, Moscow.
