The price of drinking water will not increase in Armenia in 2024. the decision was adopted at today’s government session.
The RA government will provide 1.1 billion drams of subsidy to “Veolia Water” CJSC, so that in 2024, tariffs for drinking water and wastewater treatment services will remain unchanged.
According to the tariffs of 2024, the tariff for socially disadvantaged subscribers will remain unchanged: 180 drams, and for other subscribers – 205,992 drams.
The RA government will neutralize the tariff increase for subscribers with an adequate subsidy. As a result, the price of drinking water for consumers will not increase in 2024.
According to that, the company will receive a subsidy from the 2024 state budget in the amount of 5,522 AMD for each cubic meter in the amount of 205,992 AMD. Moreover, for the water supply service, from the tariff of 175.093 drams, in the amount of 4.693 drams, and for the drainage service, from the tariff of 30.899 drams (with VAT), in the amount of 0.829 drams (with VAT).
