South Korea will provide Ukraine with a mid-term and long-term aid package worth $2.3 billion, the delivery of which will begin this year, South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yeol announced during a meeting of NATO partner countries. from the Indo-Pacific region, Ukrinform reported, citing Yonhap.

In addition, Seoul will also give $12 million to rehabilitate wounded Ukrainian soldiers through the NATO Trust Fund for Assistance to Ukraine.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of NATO partner countries from the Indo-Pacific region, including Japan, Australia and New Zealand.

South Korea’s top diplomat said North Korea’s support for arming Russia affects not only the security of Europe but that of the Korean Peninsula and the Indo-Pacific region, adding that the transfer of military technology from Moscow and the supply of refined oil to Pyongyang will threaten the global regime for the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons, writes BTA.
