Israel is closely monitoring the “planned attack” by Iran and its satellites and is ready to take any measures necessary to protect its citizens.

As Day.Az reports with reference to TASS, this statement was made by Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant.

“We are closely monitoring the planned attack by Iran and its proxies on the State of Israel. In recent days, we have strengthened our defensive and offensive structures and are determined to take any measures necessary to protect the citizens of the State of Israel,” Galant said.

Galant noted that Israel has “developed new capabilities – on the ground, in the air, at sea, in the intelligence community both within the State of Israel and with partners led by the United States.” According to the Israeli Defense Minister, “Iran is a terrorist state,” “the world sees this now more than ever.” “We are determined to protect our citizens from this terrorism and we will know how to respond to it,” he reiterated.

In addition, Galant asked Israeli citizens to follow the instructions issued by the Israel Defense Forces and the Home Front Authority.

On April 12, The Wall Street Journal stated that an Iranian retaliatory strike could occur within 24-48 hours. In turn, the Axios portal reported, citing sources, that Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic Hossein Amir Abdollahian told his German colleague Annalena Baerbock that Iran would respond to the shelling in a limited manner so as not to provoke an escalation of tensions.
