Proposals under the “Accessible Culture” program are accepted from April 22 until the end of the month
The Municipality of Burgas will hold more and more cultural events in the suburbs. From April 22 until the end of the month, proposals will be accepted under the new program of the City Hall – “Accessible Culture”.
It expands the opportunities for artists to express themselves, and also for quality and diverse content to reach more people. The program is in sync with the demographic policy of the municipality of Burgas with a focus on young people, peripheral settlements and neighborhoods.
The idea is that young artists who deal with culture have the opportunity to be part of the audience at valuable events. For this purpose, individual schools, clubs and other creative structures will be able to apply to a committee of experts, which will also include a representative of the new Directorate “Demographic Policies, Monitoring and Coordination”.
The funds received will fully or partially cover the price of the tickets for the selected event.
The program will be particularly useful for cultural structures that wish to present their product in neighborhoods or constituent villages. They will be able to get additional help with this.
“We strive for people from the periphery to have access to our diverse cultural program,” explained Deputy Mayor for Culture Diana Savateva.
The program also contains a direction in which creative clubs and schools can apply to support their preparation for participation in national and international forums and competitions.
The first session is at the end of April, the next ones will be announced in a timely manner, and the support in the individual directions is carried out until the financial resource provided for the relevant year in the municipality’s budget is exhausted.
Applications for funding under the program can be submitted every working day at the Center for Administrative Services for Citizens – 26 Aleksandrovska Street, Burgas 8000, to the Deputy Mayor “Culture and Religions”, for the “Accessible Culture” program. as they indicate data of the applicant organization or individual artist, address for correspondence, telephone, electronic mail (e-mail).
In the application, the time (date, place and time) of the relevant event or the event to be attended is noted, and there must be a minimum of 45 calendar days until its realization.
The application form will be published next week.
