Dutty Dior aka King Castin rest in peace 🕊️
At the weekend, Kristoffer Castin Åman (born in 96) alias Dutty Dior was found dead, which was quickly spread on social media on Saturday evening via grieving friends and colleagues. On Sunday morning, the death was officially confirmed by Warner Music via VG. No details of the death have yet been released.
“Rest in peace. Thank you for the art you made,” writes David Mokel in an Instagram post on Saturday.
“Love you brother. Forever”, writes Filip Bargee. “No one like you brother. As an artist, but not least, and most importantly, as a human being. Rest in peace dear big brother, you are missed and loved. 🌹❤️ The biggest guy, with the biggest heart.”

“We lost a trailer blazer last night. Warm thoughts to family and friends. Rest in peace”, writes Jimi Somewhere.
“My beautiful beloved son 😭💔”, writes Dutty’s mother on her 730.no Instagram.
The progressive rapper and singer-songwriter from Lofsrudhøgda in Søndre Nordstrand in Oslo quickly became a musical role model for several young artists.
He has been nominated several times for the Spellemannprisen.
In 2019, Dutty Dior had its national breakthrough with “HALLO” with Isah.
The single took 3rd place on the VG list and has more than 33 million Spotify streams. The music video premiered on 730.no.
The SDKT artist has released the albums BHD and it’s less lonely aloneas well as the mixtapes Paranormal and Chaotic elegance.

Last winter, Dutty and Benjie released the beautiful “Heartache pays the bill”, and before that he guested Last word; the debut EP of Makosir.
– I was so inspired by [«DESEMBER» med Dutty] when we made “Dele dyne dele seng”, and it feels like a full circle moment that he joined it. It worked on the first take, Makosir told 730.no about the duet with Dutty.
He was already known for his collaborations with, among others, Arif and Stig Brenner alias Unge Ferrari.
