Bangladesh Secretariat, the heart of administration, opened on Monday (April 15) after the holy Eid-ul-Fitr and Pahela Baishakh holidays. Although the presence of government officials and employees is less, the atmosphere of Eid prevails in the secretariat. The first working day after the holiday has passed with Eid and New Year greetings.
The officers and employees came to the office from Monday morning and exchanged Eid and New Year greetings with their colleagues. Ministers and secretaries of several ministries were seen exchanging Eid greetings with officials and employees.
The ministry has seen that the presence of officials and employees is quite less than usual. Some were seen coming late to the office. The parking space in front of building number four in the secretariat was mostly empty.

Textiles and Jute Minister Jahangir told reporters in his office at Kabir Nanak Secretariat that many crowded secretariats are now empty. The road is empty. Hopefully, it will take next week for the secretariat to be normal.
Officials and employees said that on the first working day after Eid, there is a lot of Eid atmosphere in the secretariat. Those who go far and wide for Eid, they usually take extra leave beyond the Eid holiday. So, usually after two Eids, it takes some time for attendance at the Secretariat to normalize. The presence and functioning of the secretariat will be normal next week.
