Hungary is interested in the development of other areas of economic cooperation in addition to energy cooperation with Azerbaijan.

As Day.Az reported on Thursday with reference to Trend, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó said this during a business forum in Baku.

“The pharmaceutical industry is well developed in Hungary, and we would like companies such as the world famous Gedeon Richter, as well as Egis Gyogyszergyar Plc (known in Central Europe), and maybe Celitron Medical Technologies Ltd to establish business in Azerbaijan, possibly in special economic zones,” Szijjártó said at a meeting with businessmen from Azerbaijan and Hungary.

In his opinion, experience in water resources management could be useful for Azerbaijan, and there are a number of specialized companies in the delegation. Hungary is also ready to implement construction projects in Azerbaijan, especially in the liberated territories – in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur.

“We have always believed in achieving peace and consider the prompt reintegration of these lands important. By the way, our technology companies are ready to work in this direction, since it is on the liberated lands that the model of “smart city”, “smart village” and “green” energy is being implemented,” – noted the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry.

He also noted great prospects in cooperation in the fields of tourism, science and culture.
