At 27 years old, Beret He has become one of the most important singers in Spain. And his musical style and his lyrics, which talk about love, heartbreak and even emotions, have earned him millions of views.
recently presented “If it were not for you” next to the Venezuelan singer, Lasso. Beret mentioned that this union was achieved thanks to the fans of both.
“The connection is made thanks to the fans of Lasso because they sent me songs from him because they told me that we did similar things. When you listen ‘Brown eyes’ I didn’t link it to him. We met at an event in Spain and there I realized that everything could work,” he mentioned in an interview with 24 HORAS.
And it is that Beret He started on YouTube by uploading some of his songs and thereby generating millions of listens and getting a record deal.
“Thank God, in a few months I already had a growing family there and with that I went on tour. That was impressive because to this day it has been growing. It has stabilized, I am very grateful. If I could describe it, I would say it is anxiety because there are times when I have had bad times, happiness and gratitude.
“I was lucky that I started in the era of social networks, it was not as heavy as it is now. I have had to make them like me because it is something that is not born to me,” recalls the Spaniard.
In addition to his collaboration with Lasso, Beret has presented “The Last Granada,” a track in which he describes the story of a couple whose last resort can destroy a relationship. Although he has not planned an album soon, the singer does not rule out that it will be part of a full-length album.
“It will surely be part of new material, when I make an album I don’t premeditate it. I made the song two years ago in Ibiza with some friends and I didn’t finish it because I wanted to do it well and value certain melodies. I don’t like to make things complex.
“It talks about a couple that hates each other but is clear that there is one last grenade that can make them die together. If I tell you the truth, I don’t care about the concepts of the albums, when I see an artist who says that I think that I just want to make songs. I dedicate 90% to making music,” he concluded.
