European champion, Olympic silver medalist Arsen Julfalakyan has announced his retirement.

“That’s it…

All good things come to an end one day.

I officially announce the end of my professional career as an athlete.

23 years, titles of World and European champion, World Cup winner, Olympic vice champion, indescribable feelings, countless memories…

I am happy that I had the opportunity to uphold the honor of the Republic of Armenia in the most prestigious world tournaments, sing the Armenian National Anthem and give moments of joy and victory to thousands of our compatriots around the world. That feeling is simply unique.

In fact, I can express myself for a long time, but I will be satisfied only with a word of thanks, and I will speak more extensively in the format of a press conference and interviews.

First of all, I would like to thank my family and the coaches who selflessly and truly dedicated themselves to this difficult task.
These great achievements were only possible thanks to you.

Thank you to my friends who never left me no matter the situation. Of course, that framework underwent serious filtration.

I am grateful to the German KSV Aalen 05 and the French CP Besançon clubs, in which I played for a total of 9 years. It is simply impossible to underestimate their contribution to my victories and establishment. And more importantly, many warm, friendly relations and international connections were formed.

Thanks to the Wrestling Federation of Armenia, NAOC and the Ministry of Sports for supporting and appreciating the work done.

Thank you to everyone who has been happy and sad with my victories and defeats.

Let me briefly mention the slanderers and slanderers. Long live, with your steps and at the expense of your health, you motivated me and gave me the sports aggression that could sometimes be lacking. Keep up the good work!

And of course, thanks to the unbiased sports journalists who covered it all.
