Overseas Ministry rejects US Congressman’s statements towards Chief Justice

The Ministry of Overseas Affairs rejected, on Saturday, the statements of the US Congressman towards the Chief Justice.

The Overseas Ministry mentioned in an announcement acquired by the (INA): “The ministry adopted up on the statements and instructions of US Congressman Mike Waltz, in the direction of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Judicial Council, Decide Faeq Zidane.”
The Ministry affirmed its full rejection of “the infringement said in these statements on the particular person of the Chairman of the Judicial Council, Decide Faiq Zaidan, and on the essential rights of the Iraqi state, through which the judiciary represents the first guarantor of rights and freedoms.”
She added, “The Ministry considers these statements a blatant interference in Iraqi inner affairs,” stressing that “making an attempt to affect the judiciary is a violation of a very powerful parts of the state entity, which is liable for attaining justice, equality, and stability of the nation.”
The ministry regretted “makes an attempt to contain Congress in such points, as they represent interference within the sovereignty of states and their judicial methods.”
