Former Argentine President Alberto Fernández has denied allegations of domestic violence and psychological harassment made by his former partner, Fabiola Yáñez. Reuters reported the news.
In a post on the X social network, Fernández stated that he learned of the allegations through the media and intends to present evidence in court to prove his innocence.
“I want to categorically deny these lies,” the former president said. “What she is accusing me of never happened. I will provide evidence and testimony to the courts to show the true story.”
Fernández added that he would refrain from making further public statements at this time.
Yáñez, who currently resides in Spain with their son, filed a lawsuit against Fernández, accusing him of physical and psychological abuse, as well as telephone harassment. Following the filing, a court in Argentina banned Fernández from leaving the country or coming into contact with Yáñez.
