Indonesian Lifter Eko Yuli Irawan Fails to Win Medal at Paris Olympics

According to jpnn.com, Eko Yuli Irawan, a 35-year-old senior athlete, competed in the men’s 61 kg weightlifting class at the South Paris Arena 6 on Wednesday (7/8/2024) evening WIB.
Eko immediately failed at his first attempt in the snatch, failing to lift 135 kg. However, he later successfully lifted the weight in his second attempt. He then improved his record to 139 kg in his third attempt.
While Eko’s snatch performance was commendable, he suffered a setback in the clean and jerk section. He appeared to suffer an injury and failed to lift a weight of 162 kg in his first attempt.
It is worth noting that Eko’s best lift in the snatch was 143 kg, which was achieved by Chinese lifter Li Fabin.
