The Nubarashen Poultry Factory, one of the largest in Soviet Armenia, has undergone significant modernization and expansion in the past decade. Initially operating with 96 poultry houses, the factory has been completely rebuilt and now boasts 14 modern poultry houses controlled from technical rooms within the factory.
Over the past ten years, the company has dramatically increased its production capacity. In its first year, the factory produced 400 tons of poultry meat, while in 2020, this figure had grown to 2000 tons.
Currently, construction is underway on the factory grounds. Four new poultry houses equipped with the latest German equipment are being built to produce table eggs in collaboration with partner AGBA Leasing.
“We have acquired four poultry houses through the fit-out program with our partner AGBA Leasing,” said Garegin Makaryan, the general director of Nubarashen Poultry Factory. “One house is already in use, while the remaining three are for laying hens, with a capacity of 85,000 heads.”
The Nubarashen Poultry Factory aims to increase local egg production and become self-sufficient in the near future. Currently, local poultry accounts for 35% of the market, with the remaining 65% being imported. The factory is confident that its efforts will lead to increased local production and potentially surpass current levels in the coming year.
