In the Ukrainian city of Novi Bagh, a Russian soldier who missed the path laid down his arms and surrendered. The Ukrainians treated him by giving him cakes and drinks.
He then spoke to his mother in Russia in tears over the phone of a woman there.
Residents said the route would change as Russian soldiers used old maps. Ukrainian Special Forces, which shared the video on Twitter, warned that it could no longer show mercy to Russian soldiers.
