50,290 farmers received BGN 190,283,470 under the state aid “Aid to support the liquidity of farmers to overcome the negative economic impact of the Russian aggression against Ukraine” and “Aid to support the liquidity of farmers, producers of grain and oil crops”, to the impact overcome the negative economic impact of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine”. Funds up to this BGN 200 million will be paid after additional administrative checks have been carried out in accordance with paragraph 4 of Section II of the Guidelines for the implementation of the aid, according to which payment is also allowed after the deadline, in for cases that require further examination of eligibility to assist the respective beneficiary.

The aid is provided in the form of direct grants to farmers of primary agricultural production – animal breeders, breeders of large and small ruminants, bee families, producers of fruit and vegetables, rose oil, wine vineyards, tobacco, wheat, corn, barley, sorghum solar and canola to offset some of the increased production costs.

The aid was disbursed only 3 days after the DFZ Management Board approved the budget for the partial payment of the second tranche of Ukraine’s aid.

The DF “Agriculture” reminds that in the spring the fund paid the full amount of the first tranche of the two Ukrainian schemes in the amount of more than BGN 330 million.

Guidelines are published on the application of state aid to the location of DFZ.
