Russia is attacking Ukraine with its powerful forces. Russian troops have shot dead an American journalist during a war between the two countries. This has been confirmed by the Ukrainian police.
The 51-year-old journalist was identified as Brent Renaud. He has previously worked for The New York Times. The newspaper also confirmed his death.
He is trying to capture people who were seeking refuge in order to save their lives. He was then shot dead by Russian troops. Ukrainian police say another journalist has been seriously injured in a similar attack by Russian troops.
