Mohamed Al-Aswad: Thank you for having me. The call with Chairman Al-Aqouri was primarily focused on exploring opportunities for cooperation between the France Experts Foundation and the House of Representatives in Libya. Our foundation, as you may know, is dedicated to capacity building within national institutions, and the Chairman expressed genuine interest in utilizing French expertise to enhance the administrative capabilities of the House of Representatives.
Editor: That sounds promising! Why do you think strengthening these parliamentary capacities is so vital at this moment in Libya’s development?
Mohamed Al-Aswad: Libya is at a critical juncture. Strengthening parliamentary capacity is crucial for establishing a functional democracy. By improving administrative capabilities, we can ensure that the House of Representatives can better perform its legislative functions, respond to its constituents, and ultimately contribute to the stabilization and development of the country.

Mohamed Al-Aswad: Of course! We are aiming to design a technical program specifically aligned with the needs of the House of Representatives. This program will include training sessions, workshops, and resources focusing on best practices in parliamentary administration. Our goal is to equip the staff with the skills and knowledge necessary to improve their efficiency and effectiveness in their roles.
Editor: That sounds like a solid approach! The French government has a long history of supporting democracy abroad. How does this collaboration fit into that larger narrative?
