European countries are in the top eight on the list of happiest countries in the world.
The UN Network for Sustainable Development has surveyed and calculated the happiness of people around the world based on their well-being and quality of life. A total of 146 countries have been included in the list of happiest countries this year.
Finland tops the list for the fifth time in a row. Denmark is in second place. Iceland, Switzerland and the Netherlands are in third, fourth and fifth place respectively.
Luxembourg, Sweden and Norway are ranked sixth, seventh and eighth respectively. Israel is ninth and New Zealand is tenth. The last three places on the list are Zimbabwe, Lebanon and Afghanistan.
