Season’s Grand Finale
Saturday saw the culmination of a year’s worth of effort for young athletes in Montpezat. The mild weather provided the perfect backdrop for a series of engaging activities.Picture this: kids excitedly navigating their city using puzzles and maps. Each challenge completed brought them closer to a shared snack in room G.Brassens. To top it off, each child received a celebratory towel courtesy of the club.
Financial and Sporting Successes
The Montpezatais basketball club’s general assembly provided a platform to evaluate the season’s achievements. The club reported that its financial result remains balanced. This stability is attributed to diverse fundraising initiatives. These included a dancing meal, a gourmet market, tournaments, and the sale of brochures. The ongoing support from the municipality and various sponsors was also crucial.
On the sporting front, the club is thriving. They now boast 155 licensees.This places the BCM in an impressive 8th position within the department. The club’s labels have been successfully renewed, a testament to their continued dedication and quality.
Leadership and Accolades
The existing management team will continue to steer the club forward, ensuring continuity and stability. Adding fresh perspectives, Audrey Boulouys has joined the board of directors. Cynthia Falzon and cyril Le Monnier have also become active members,eager to contribute to the club’s ongoing success.
Before raising a glass to friendship,the club took a moment to recognise its outstanding young talents. Several athletes were lauded for their extraordinary performances. These included achievements in departmental qualifications, Quercy-Garonne selections, referees training, and the senior girls’ title as pre-region champions. Special recognition was given to Chapas Magali and Lane Johanna, who received congratulations from the FFBB.
