AC/DC extends their Australian “Power Up” tour.

Due to overwhelming demand, AC/DC is adding a second and final Perth show to their Power Up stadium tour, promising fans another chance to experience the electrifying energy of the legendary rockers.

Perth Gets One More Jolt

The Aussie rockers will now perform at Optus Stadium on Monday, Dec. 8, adding one more date to their West Coast shows. The newly announced concert concludes the West Coast leg of their 2025 Australian tour, which now boasts nine stadium shows across the country. Tickets went on sale Thursday,June 26,creating frenzied demand that spurred second shows in Melbourne,Sydney,and Brisbane.

Did you know? The Power Up tour is AC/DC’s first national tour in almost 10 years.

A decade of Rock

Produced by TEG Van Egmond, the Power Up tour celebrates AC/DC’s ARIA No. 1 album Power Up, released in 2020. The album was their sixth No. 1 on the ARIA Albums chart.

Did you know? “Power Up” is a tribute to AC/DC’s late rhythm guitarist, Malcolm Young. many of the album’s riffs are based on unreleased material the brothers wrote together over the years.

Sniffing Out Some Support

Joining AC/DC on their Australian tour are Amyl and the Sniffers, winners of ARIA and Rolling Stone Australia Awards. Their high-octane punk energy will serve as special support for the rock legends.

Tickets Still Available… Barely

Tickets for the final Perth show are available via Ticketek, the same outlet handling ticketing for all Australian dates with the exception of Adelaide. This additional Optus Stadium show is expected to draw a massive crowd.

Record-Breaking Sales

On June 26, ticketek reported a record-breaking 370,000 tickets sold across all events on its platform, marking a new all-time daily sales record for the company. More than 320,000 tickets were sold for AC/DC’s Power Up tour alone, making it the biggest concert onsale day in Ticketek’s 40-plus year history.

Those numbers smash the band’s own 2009 benchmark set during the black ice tour. Approximately 50,000 tickets were sold for other events including Lightscape,NRL matches,AFL fixtures,and major theater productions. The 2009 Black Ice tour previously held the record and ultimately moved over 650,000 tickets nationwide.

A Look Back

AC/DC last toured Australia and New Zealand in 2015 for their rock or Bust tour, selling more than 520,000 tickets across 11 dates, including shows in auckland and Wellington.
