Palantir, AMD, McDonald’s: Latest Earnings Reports

Key Earnings and Economic Data Dominate Investor Focus This Week

Investors are bracing for a busy week of economic data releases and corporate earnings reports, with a diverse range of companies-from tech giants to consumer staples-set to share their latest financial performance. The reports come as concerns linger about the impact of tariffs, consumer spending, and the future path of interest rates.

A string of “blockbuster corporate reports” from last week will continue, with a particular focus on major tech and consumer-facing businesses. Several Federal Reserve officials are also scheduled to speak, adding to the potential for market-moving news.

tech and Consumer Giants in the Spotlight

Leading the earnings calendar are Palantir Technologies (PLTR), reporting on Monday, and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) on Tuesday. According to one analyst, AMD’s MI350 series chips could prove competitive with offerings from Nvidia. Ride-hailing app Uber Technologies (UBER) is also slated to report on Wednesday.

Consumer companies reporting this week include McDonald’s (MCD) and Walt Disney (DIS), both on Wednesday. A recent company release indicated that McDonald’s has seen a decline in traffic from middle-income households, reflecting broader concerns about consumer confidence. Disney, however, recently raised its full-year profit outlook, buoyed by growth in its streaming services.

The pharmaceutical sector will also be active, with reports expected from Novo Nordisk (NVO), Amgen, Pfizer, and Eli lilly (LLY). Novo Nordisk recently lowered its full-year outlook due to declining sales of its weight-loss drugs Ozempic and Wegovy, while Eli Lilly issued profit outlook cuts in May amid high research and development costs.
