The community mourns the loss of Bridie McDonnell, a beloved figure known for her warmth and devotion to family.

• Bridie McDonnell died peacefully at her residence on December 24, 2025.
• She is survived by her husband, Gerry, and daughters, Mairead and Eimear.
• Reposing will take place at her home on Saturday, December 27th, followed by Requiem Mass on Sunday, December 28th.

What arrangements have been made to honor Bridie McDonnell’s life? A wake will be held at her residence (F12 Y967) on Saturday, december 27th, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Sunday, December 28th, at 10:00 AM in the Church Of Our Lady Queen Of Peace and St. Gerald, Mayo Abbey, with burial following in mayo Abbey Cemetery.

Bridie was predeceased by her parents, Aeneas and Margaret Mc Donnell. She is deeply missed by her husband, gerry; daughters, Mairead (Rogan) and Eimear; brother, Stephen (Rockfield, Turlough); granddaughter, Emily; sons-in-law, Stephen (Rogan) and Ciaran (woods); as well as numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbors, and friends.

The family has requested that those wishing to express their condolences do so by leaving a message online.

Removal from her residence will take place on Sunday morning at 9:15 AM, proceeding to the Church Of Our Lady Queen Of Peace and St. Gerald for the 10:00 AM Requiem Mass. Following the service, Bridie will be laid to rest in Mayo Abbey Cemetery.
