A Requiem Mass will follow on Tuesday at 12:00 noon in St Michael’s Church, Potahee. Following the service, Kathleen will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Frank McKiernan, in New York.
Born Kathleen Reilly, she formerly resided in Drumnalara, Ballinagh, in addition to Corlismore, Ballinagh. Her life was marked by a deep connection to her Irish roots and a significant chapter spent in New Rochelle, New York.
She was predeceased by her mother, Bridget Reilly; her father, Hugh Reilly; her husband, Frank McKiernan; her brother, Hughie reilly; and her sister, May Fitzpatrick. The loss of these loved ones undoubtedly shaped her journey, but her spirit remained resilient.
Kathleen is lovingly remembered by her children, Jackie (Jimmy), Frankie (Linda), Dee Dee (Chris), Brian, Terry (Dawn), Sean (Jen), Paul (Linsay); her adored grandchildren, James, Thomas, Jennifer, Frankie, Brianna, Jillian, Shea, Kevin, Katie, Kimmie, Gavin, shane and Collin; her great-grandchildren, Lucy, Ayla, Hailey and Reece; and her brothers, Danny (Ann) and charlie. She also leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories for her numerous nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends.
