Music Group Name Change: Lawsuit Threat | [Band Name/Genre]

A near-legal threat from an adult magazine almost forced the French music group Archimède to change its name before its debut album even hit shelves.

We were called Lui & Moi before signing wiht Sony Music France under the name Archimède. The reason? The magazine Lui sent us a letter from their lawyer demanding we find another name. It’s true! We preferred not to take any chances, Archimède explained.The first album hadn’t even come out, and we were going to get sued… No way! Archimède might not have been called Archimède at all.
