Jonesboro Woman Arrested After Allegedly Displaying Gun on Facebook Live
A Jonesboro woman is facing felony charges after authorities say she was observed waving a firearm during a Facebook Live broadcast and subsequently attempted to conceal the weapon. The incident, which unfolded on February 7, 2026, led to the arrest of 23-year-old Adriuna Gloria Jean Springer and the discovery of a stolen handgun.
Initial Incident and Police Response
According to an affidavit, the Jonesboro Police Department received a report concerning a potential altercation involving a group of women near the 500 block of Melrose Street. During the investigation, officers learned that Springer had allegedly displayed a gun during a live stream on Facebook and then attempted to hide it behind an air-conditioning unit.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers encountered Springer and several other individuals in a vehicle. A strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle prompted a search, leading to the discovery of marijuana residue and, ultimately, a 9 mm handgun located near the air-conditioning unit.
Charges Filed and Evidence
Craighead County District Judge David Boling determined there was probable cause to charge Springer with two Class D felonies: theft by receiving a firearm valued under $2,500 and tampering with physical evidence. The firearm was later identified as stolen from an undisclosed location.
“She said that she was there to fight someone and that she had the pistol and hid it before the officers arrived,” according to the affidavit.
Legal Proceedings and Bond
Springer is currently being held on a $25,000 cash surety bond. She is scheduled to be arraigned in court on March 20, 2026. The case highlights the increasing intersection of social media and criminal activity, as well as the challenges law enforcement faces in responding to incidents originating online.
