Microsoft to Invest $10 Billion in Japan’s AI and Digital Infrastructure

Microsoft has announced a massive strategic expansion in Japan, pledging $10 billion in investments between 2026 and 2029. The initiative is designed to overhaul the nation’s digital backbone, focusing on the rapid deployment of AI infrastructure, the hardening of national cybersecurity, and a sweeping effort to reskill the Japanese workforce.
