The acquisition transforms a relationship that lasted more than two decades. For over 20 years, EMA Design Automation and FlowCAD distributed and supported Cadence software, building specific expertise in engineering services and PCB design workflows across Europe and North America. By bringing these teams in-house, Cadence aims to address the rising demand for integrated electronic design automation (EDA) solutions as system complexity increases.
Ultra Librarian Integration and Component Data
A central piece of this acquisition is the integration of Ultra Librarian, EMA’s flagship solution. For PCB designers, the transition from a concept to manufacturing depends on access to production-ready component models. The tool already supports more than 400,000 registered users globally.
