Solstice Advanced Materials reported second-quarter 2026 net sales of $1,148 million, marking an 11 percent increase year-over-year. President and CEO David Sewell pointed to double-digit growth across four core business segments and highlighted the company’s pending acquisition of Element Solutions to strengthen its position in semiconductor manufacturing and nuclear energy.
Specialty materials manufacturer Solstice Advanced Materials posted a net income of $119 million for the quarter ending June 30, 2026, up from $97 million during the same period in 2025. The company’s financial disclosures arrived alongside upwardly revised full-year guidance, reflecting stronger organic volume and favorable pricing across multiple divisions.
Segment Performance and Core Growth Drivers
The company’s top-line growth was anchored by the Refrigerants & Applied Solutions segment, which generated $850 million in net sales—a 12 percent jump compared to the second quarter of 2025.
The Electronic & Specialty Materials segment contributed an 8 percent increase in net sales. Organic net sales across the entire enterprise rose 11 percent, driven by a combination of higher sales volume and favorable pricing adjustments. Despite the revenue gains, segment profitability experienced some compression.
Consolidated Margins and Capital Position
The consolidated adjusted EBITDA margin slipped 218 basis points to 25.3 percent. Corporate leadership attributed the margin shift to the timing of plant turnaround activity and production incentive credits recorded in the prior year.
Cash generation remained robust. Operating cash flow for the first six months of 2026 totaled $461 million, while free cash flow reached $248 million. Capital expenditures rose 35 percent to $186 million during the same six-month window, reflecting planned investments intended to support long-term operational expansion.
As of June 30, 2026, total long-term debt stood at $2.0 billion against approximately $750 million in cash and cash equivalents. This liquidity profile resulted in a net leverage ratio of approximately 1.3x based on trailing twelve-month adjusted EBITDA, with total available liquidity resting at approximately $1.75 billion, including a $1.0 billion revolving credit facility.
Strategic Acquisitions and Capital Deployment
Solstice continues to lean into high-demand technology sectors through both organic initiatives and large-scale M&A activity. Leadership emphasized that ongoing corporate strategy targets secular growth trends including artificial intelligence infrastructure, data centers, and advanced electronics.
“Solstice delivered strong second-quarter results with double-digit growth across four of our seven reported businesses. We are executing well on our organic growth strategy while positioning for the future: our agreement to acquire Element Solutions accelerates our strategy to build a scaled advanced materials platform aligned with the most powerful trends in our markets, including AI, data centers, nuclear energy, and semiconductor manufacturing.”

The proposed cash-and-stock acquisition of Element Solutions was initially announced on July 6, 2026. That transaction remains contingent on regulatory clearances, shareholder votes, and customary closing conditions, with management projecting a final close in the first half of 2027.
In addition to merger planning, the company’s board of directors declared a quarterly dividend of $0.075 per share of common stock. The dividend carries a record date of August 27, 2026, and is scheduled for distribution on September 10, 2026.
