The Los Angeles Screening of Katseye: Wild Hearts
The international girl group Katseye brought distinct personal style to the red carpet this week during a special Los Angeles event. Group members Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel, Daniela Avanzini, and Yoonchae Jeong gathered for a special local screening of the documentary Katseye: Wild Hearts
on Tuesday. While the quartet maintained a unified theme by wearing coordinated black dresses, they diverged completely at the ankles, opting for footwear that ranged from classic pumps to edgy stiletto boots.
The screening serves as a high-profile premiere-style event ahead of the film’s limited theatrical run, which kicks off on August 12. The cinematic release precedes the drop of the group’s third EP, titled “WILD,” scheduled for release on August 14. Directed by Nadia Hallgren, the approximately 80-minute documentary was produced by the team behind Netflix’s Pop Star Academy: Katseye,
capturing the group’s relentless post-debut grind.
Footwear Choices: Pumps, PVC, and Stilettos
Footwear became the defining element of the red carpet appearance, as each member selected a radically different style to complement her dress. Avanzini broke the monochromatic black code entirely, injecting a pop of color with green pointed-toe heels featuring a semi-transparent upper made of a PVC-like material that tapped into the enduring clear heels trend. She paired the statement shoes with a full-length satiny black dress detailed with a ruched bodice and crisscross side lacing.
Jeong took an edgier path, strapping into black croc-embossed knee-high stiletto boots equipped with silver metallic embellishments, including buckles on the vamp and dangling locks. Her footwear anchored a high-neck black minidress featuring a fitted bodice and a slightly ruffled skirt. Meanwhile, Raj and Skiendiel found common ground in classic silhouettes, both selecting quintessential black pointed-toe pumps.
Material Differences in Classic Staples
Though Raj and Skiendiel aligned on silhouette, their execution highlighted distinct material preferences. Raj selected a glossy patent leather Christian Louboutin design, appearing to be the brand’s Kate style, which she wore with a partially sheer lingerie-style black dress featuring lacy detailing and an embellished short-sleeve layer. Skiendiel opted for a matte black leather pump paired with a simple, silky black slipdress.
