Danny Avdia got into a rhythm in his last four games, scoring in double figures in each of them. Tonight (between Friday and Saturday) the Israeli recorded only three points in 14 minutes in Washington’s victory over Miami in overtime, 106:107, much following an injury to his little finger during the match.
Avdia scored 1 of 2 for three, added three assists and a rebound and recorded four fouls against the Heat who played with a short roster of only seven players due to injuries. Miami led at the break by 12 points, Washington managed to balance and towards the end Kyle Kuzma scored a three-pointer that forced overtime.
Kuzma also scored from the free throw line with 2:48 left, and it was also surprisingly the last point of the game, as the Heat finished 0-for-8 from the field in the remaining time. Following the victory, Washington rose to 7:9, with its opponent at 9:7.
Bradley Beal stood out with 27 points and eight assists, Kuzma added 21 points and eight rebounds and Kristaps Prozingis contributed 20 points and 17 rebounds. On the other hand, Kyle Lowery finished with a triple double (24 points, 15 assists and 10 rebounds), but it didn’t help.
