Danny Avdia recorded his first double-double of the season tonight (between Sunday and Monday) in Washington’s 102:106 victory over Detroit, which was the Wizards’ sixth in their last seven games. The Israeli scored 12 points (6 of 11 from the field) and added 13 rebounds, an assist and a block in 31 minutes.
He improved the offense problem he encountered in his previous game when he finished with only two, and his team went 7:10 compared to the opponent’s 14:4, in whose ranks the star Lamlo Ball was absent. Avdia recorded a fifth game out of his last six with double figures, when in the previous game, as I remember, he got into foul trouble and got only 14 minutes (three points against Miami).
The Hornets were close in the match until the end and narrowed the gap to two points towards the end, but Kristaps Prozingis calmed down the locals from the penalty line and closed the matter. Kyle Kuzma stood out with 10 rebounds and 28 points for the Wizards, with Bradley Beal adding 26 points. On the other side, Kelly Obera finished with 23 points.
