A change has been made in the Indian squad for the 2nd Test against Sri Lanka. Kuldeep Yadav has been dropped due to the inclusion of Akshar Patel in the squad.

The first match of the two-Test series between India and Sri Lanka was played in Mohali. In that match, batting and bowling, the Indian team dominated the Sri Lankan team and won by an innings and 222 runs.

Jadeja in particular played immensely in that match. Jadeja took 175 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the first innings and 4 wickets in the second innings for a total of 9 wickets.

Jayant Yadav did not take the opportunity he got in that match. Scored only 2 runs at bat. Not sober in bowling either. Therefore, the Indian team management has included Akshar Patel in the squad to dress him in the 2nd Test.

Akshar Patel Addition:

Akshar Patel has been ruled out of the India squad due to injury and subsequent Corona injury and has returned from the Corona to join the Indian team in the Mohali Test.
