Nearly 500 children, students and teachers participated in a charity Easter bazaar at the Ministry of Education and Culture. The Minister of Education and Science Galin Tsokov opened the event, and among the official guests was the Minister of Culture Nayden Todorov. This was announced by the press center of the Ministry of Education and Science.

“We are doing this initiative to show the talent of Bulgarian children, and they demonstrate an exhibition of creativity, art and practical skills,” said Prof. Tsokov. He thanked the teachers and parents who also participated in the preparation. “The bazaar is indicative of the power of creativity, of making, for the fact that our children and students are searching and creative individuals”, added the minister.

Minister Tsokov visited all the stands, got involved in charitable causes and talked with children and teachers. He emphasized that children’s works send a message about a happier future, related to the possibility of development, including within the educational system.

The bazaar was opened with musical performances for Lazarus Day by girls from 191 OU “Paisiy Hilendarski” in the village of Zheleznitsa, who were in authentic costumes worn by their grandparents decades ago and kept in their families until today.

The charity initiative covered both floors of the ministry, with a total of 60 stands displaying works, food products and various handicrafts of kindergartens and schools from six regions – Sofia-city, Sofia-region, Kyustendil, Smolyan, Pernik and Blagoevgrad. Guests of the event were heads of RUO, directors of schools and social partners.
