Mecca | Saudi General Security warns of illegal Hajj fines An official spokesperson of the authority said that pilgrims attending the Hajj should obtain Hajj permits from the concerned institutions.

Brigadier General Sami bin Mohammed al-Shuwairik said there would be strong checks on all entrances to Makkah to find illegal pilgrims.

For the past two years, people, including foreigners, have not been able to perform the Hajj due to Kovid restrictions. One million pilgrims are expected to perform the Hajj this year, including 850,000 foreigners, as restrictions have been lifted.
