BNP Standing Committee Member Abdul Moin Khan said that Awami League wants to ban all opposition parties including BNP because they do not believe in democracy.

He said, this government does not believe in democracy. So they want to ban the opposition party from the country. Law here refers to the words that come out of their mouths. That is their law.

He said these things in response to a question from journalists after paying respects at the grave of martyred President Ziaur Rahman, the founder of BNP, in Sherebangla Nagar of the capital on Sunday (February 18). This tribute was paid on the occasion of the 44th anniversary of the Tanti team.

Moin Khan said, in terms of constitutional rights, various political parties have been formed in the country, we are talking. Today, if the government bans BNP and the opposition parties and re-instates a paper-based bill, like they did once in the parliament in a span of 11 minutes. If they establish Bakshal anew, it will be proved again today that the Awami League government who claims to be a pro-independence force is a false claim. They never believed in democracy.

Commenting that a government can ban all opposition parties from the country if it does not believe in democracy, this top leader of BNP said that the government is walking on that path today. Therefore, 18 crore people of the country should be careful, the independence and sovereignty of the country is not safe in the hands of Awami League. Awami League has hit the basic ideology of independence.

If the opposition party is banned from the country, where is the space for democracy, the former minister said, the main thing is that the Awami League has axed the judiciary to ax the power. They want to wipe out the opposition. This is the mindset of Awami League.
