BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed has commented that Awami League’s zamindari practice is going on in the country.
He made this comment during the chief guest’s speech at the distribution of Eid materials at Nayapaltan BNP central office in the capital on Saturday (March 30).
BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia said, Rizvi said, we are going through a difficult situation. The symbol of democracy, who has repeatedly shown light to the people of this country, who has shown the mark of democracy, who, that leader is imprisoned today, is not getting proper treatment.
Rizvi said that democracy is supposed to develop, but it has been brought down from there by the zamindari system of the Sheikh Hasina government. Now Awami League’s zamindari system is running in the country. Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader and Hashan Mahmudra are the Naibs of this zamindari system.
In response to Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader’s comment, BNP has run out of power, he said, “You know very well whether BNP has run out of power or not.” Lakhs of leaders and activists were arrested, sent to jail, but have they been able to stop the march and progress of BNP?
In response to the comment that India stood by us like in ’71, he said, if India stood by anyone, it stood by Obaidul Quader and Sheikh Hasina. Proof of which, by dummies – fair elections were buried in Azimpur graveyard. India did not stand by the people of this country, did not stand for fair elections. Democracy has no value to India.
