A Libyan-Moroccan emphasis on the importance of the Islamic Summit at this critical stage

Representative of the Presidential Council, Moussa Al-Koni, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Morocco, Nasser Bourita, stressed the importance of holding the Organization of the Islamic Conference summit during this critical stage that the Islamic nation is experiencing.

This came during the meeting they held on the sidelines of their participation in the 15th summit of the Organization of the Islamic Conference held in the Gambian capital, Bingol.

The two sides announced their welcome of the recommendations that the summit will come out at the conclusion of its work to support the issues of the Islamic nation, in reference to the Palestinian issue and the war on Gaza, and the measures that the summit will take regarding assisting Arab countries in implementing the 2030 Plan for Sustainable Development.

Representative in the Presidential Council, Musa Al-Koni, participated in the 15th summit of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, which began today, Saturday, in the Gambian capital, Bingol, under the slogan “Promoting unity and solidarity through dialogue for sustainable development.”

The leaders of the member states will discuss the political issues of the Islamic world, most notably the Palestinian issue, and the issues of youth, women, the family, science, technology, media, and Muslim communities and groups in non-member countries of the organization, according to what the Presidential Council’s media office reported.

The summit, which concludes its work tomorrow, Sunday, will also discuss issues related to rejecting hate speech and Islamophobia, promoting dialogue, and issues of climate change and food security.

It is noteworthy that the summit is being held at the five-star Atlantic Hotel in the capital, Bingol, which it owns and manages Libya Africa Investment Portfolio.
