The Supreme Technical Security Committee to follow up on the health sector arrived in Turkey to follow up on the conditions of Libyan citizens with tumor patients.

The committee’s delegation included its Chairman, Lutfi Al-Harari, and the Director of the Law Enforcement Department, Abdul Hakim Al-Khaitouni, along with the Head of the Therapeutic Services Support and Development Agency, the Head of the Medical Supply Agency, the Head of the Public Tenders Committee, and the Head of the Pharmacy Department at the Ministry of Health.

The committee met with some cases of oncology and bone marrow transplant patients, as part of following up on their conditions and examining the problems they face, according to what the committee announced.

The committee confirmed that it is working to overcome difficulties and provide assistance to those who need surgical intervention and marrow transplants inside Turkey and provide all health services to them, she said.

For his part, the head of the Supreme Security Committee supervising the Ministry of Health, Lutfi Al-Harari, stated that they had reached a radical solution to the issue of patients abroad, especially tumors in the Turkish arena.

Al-Harari added in a special statement to Libya Al-Ahrar TV channel on Friday that patients with tumors, liver and spinal cord diseases abroad will continue their treatment that is not available in Libya, such as incurable operations, according to a mechanism agreed upon with the Central Bank.

He pointed out that cases abroad in need of doses and medications available in Libya will return to the country to receive them as they are available in the central and western regions, while cases that receive medications and need follow-up will continue to be treated abroad.
