“A major step for PSG”: Nasser Al-Khelaïfi welcomed the young people from the training center in Poissy

PSG is now 100% in Poissy. After the women’s team midweek, the young people from the capital’s club’s training and pre-training centers made their debut this Sunday at the new Campus. The 129 players were welcomed to their new home by President Nasser Al-Khelaïfi.

The PSG boss was particularly happy with their arrival, the opportunity to once again compliment the “best training center in the world”. “I am very happy to welcome young players to our new training center, the best in the world. (…) Thanks to this extraordinary tool, our ambition is to grow here in France, here in Paris, the new generation of champions,” explained the Parisian president.

A promise made to the young people, accompanied this Sunday by their parents, who have seen for several years, many PSG Titis succeed in the capital (Rabiot, Kimpembe, Zaire-Emery…) or elsewhere (Coman, Diaby…). In the latest ranking published by the FFF, the capital club’s training center was ranked 4th in France, penalized mainly by the lack of playing time granted in the first team.

The big news of the day was above all that these were the last PSG teams away from Poissy, after the women’s move in the middle of the week. “Bringing together the entire Paris Saint-Germain family on a single site is a major step in the history of our institution,” enthused Nasser Al-Khelaïfi. PSG is therefore preparing this Monday to welcome all of these teams on its 16 football fields and its 39,000 m² dedicated to these players.

Nasser Al-Khelaïfi stayed in the campus house for a long time to talk with the parents of the training center residents. Still present at the start of the evening, he therefore did not make the trip to Castres to attend the Coupe de France match between Revel and PSG.
