Ayan Broomfield Blends Fashion, Freedom, and Female Empowerment at Tory Burch FW26
Ayan Broomfield, the former tennis star and burgeoning entrepreneur, captivated onlookers at the Tory Burch Fall/Winter 2026 show during New York Fashion Week, demonstrating a commitment to style that extends beyond the runway and into a broader mission of female economic empowerment.
Former professional athlete and founder of Ayan’s Aces attended the event not merely as a guest, but as a long-time admirer of the brand’s values. “I’m really excited to be attending the Tory Burch show because not only does she have exceptional collections that feel luxurious and timeless, but her impact reaches further than fashion alone,” she shared. The work of the Tory Burch Foundation, dedicated to bolstering women’s economic power through entrepreneurship, particularly resonated with Broomfield.
Broomfield’s ensemble—a patterned long-sleeve wrap dress paired with a camel suede shoulder bag and completed with an ash-blonde hairstyle—drew inspiration from fellow style icon Ciara. “She also switches up her hair color and style a lot, the same way I do. She’s always on my moodboard,” Broomfield explained.
The dress itself, designed to “accentuate the midriff,” exemplified the brand’s ability to create garments that inspire confidence. “Tory Burch does an amazing job with her tailoring and makes women feel confident and powerful,” she noted. For Broomfield, fashion is fundamentally about liberation. “Fashion allows athletes to express themselves in a way that the sport may not allow for,” she stated. Having spent two decades primarily in athletic wear, she now embraces fashion as a means of authentic self-expression. “I feel the most confident when I show up in a room and can be authentically myself.”
This philosophy extends to her beauty routine. Broomfield opted to apply her own makeup for the event, utilizing a curated selection of products from Patrick Ta Beauty, L’Oréal, Maybelline, Charlotte Tilbury Beauty, and M·A·C Cosmetics. Years of experimentation have allowed her to master a look that highlights her favorite features. “When I do my own makeup, I have control of accentuating my favorite features and hiding any imperfections that only I might see.” She collaborated with stylist Jessica King for her hair, valuing the comfort and familiarity of a trusted professional.
Amidst a demanding schedule, Broomfield prioritizes maintaining balance by focusing on her closest relationships. This was particularly evident as she immediately departed for Dallas following the show to support her boyfriend, Frances Tiafoe, at the Dallas Open.
Looking ahead, Broomfield is focused on expanding the reach of Ayan’s Aces at the Indian Wells Masters and the Miami Open in March. The month will also mark the brand’s first anniversary, a milestone she views with immense pride. “It’s been absolutely incredible so far,” she reflected. “I’m really excited to see where we can take this movement in 2026. It’s been an honor and a privilege to bring together so many outstanding women of color and create this community.”
A glimpse into Broomfield’s preparation for the Tory Burch FW26 show reveals the meticulous attention to detail that defines her approach to both style and entrepreneurship.
