He added, “Any electoral law must be aligned with the political system and not with the desires of the parties,” stressing that “a new amendment to the electoral law would be useless.”
He pointed out that “some representatives who want to amend the law go to multiple districts and each district has an electoral list,” explaining that “the content of the new amendment to the election law is to keep the lists and return to the districts.”
He continued, “The state administration coalition is still active and organized.”
He pointed out that “the recent visit of the head of the Taqaddam Party, Muhammad Al-Halbouni, was to discuss the candidate for the Speaker of Parliament,” noting: “There is no imposition from the Shiite and Kurdish components on the Sunni component to present a candidate for the presidency of Parliament.”
He stated that “everyone is making an effort to present the Sunni component with one candidate to relieve the embarrassment of the other components,” noting that “the coordination framework did not present a candidate for the position of Speaker of Parliament, but rather interacted with some of them.”
He continued: “We were part of a committee within the coordination framework that chose the Sudanese for the position of Prime Minister,” noting that “three names were put forward to vote for the position of Prime Minister, and one of them withdrew.”
