You can no longer open one-time images called View Once on the WhatsApp web site.

A few months back WhatsApp introduced a feature called ‘View Once’. When sending an image to someone, you can select View Once. This way, the person at the opposite end can see the image only once. After that it will be automatically deleted. This feature of WhatsApp has been well received.
Before opening the image message sent, there will be a notification that it can only be viewed once. Due to this, those on the opposite end cautiously opened the message and took a screenshot. Users had complained about this to WhatsApp.

View Once feature is introduced so that the message can be viewed only once. However, those on the opposite end commented that taking screenshots diluted the purpose of the feature. After that, WhatsApp made it impossible to screenshot View Once messages.
However, I was able to view the View Once message on WhatsApp Web and take a screenshot. You can block taking screenshots on your smartphone. But, you can’t do that on a computer. Thus the View Once feature has been completely removed from the WhatsApp website. Now if you send images with View Once option, you can only view them on your smartphone. Cannot be viewed through WhatsApp Web.
WhatsApp has also brought various updates to compete with Telegram app. Most importantly, you can now add up to 1024 people to a WhatsApp group, and up to 32 people can join a video call at the same time.
