1. Breaking the Fast for 30 Years
Jonatan Christie succeeded in breaking the fast for Indonesian men’s singles titles at the All England event which had been going on for 30 years.
Before Jojo, the last time the Red and White men’s singles reached the first podium in the oldest badminton tournament in the world was in 1994.
At that time, Hariyanto Arbi became the All England champion after beating fellow Indonesian representative, Ardy Wiranata with a score of 15-12, 17-14.
