In response to North Korea’s successful missile test, South Korea tested a missile that crashed and exploded on Wednesday.
Recently, North Korea has been conducting missile tests to challenge the US and South Korea. As part of that, North Korea on Thursday test-fired a missile capable of reaching the US-held island of Guam, flying it over Japan and launching it into the sea.
In response, South Korea on Wednesday test-fired its Humoo-2 short-range missile. However, the missile fell to the ground and exploded. The explosion of the missile and the subsequent fire caused fear in the area. Many panicked that North Korea had attacked them.
However, no one was injured in the incident, officials said.
