From the 4th to the 8th of March, they had the opportunity to tour the school grounds, get to know school life, attending physics, chemistry, biology, computers, etc. classes, and interacting with their peers, to strengthen their digital skills, to practice their English but also to penetrate the culture of another country by approaching different aspects of it. At the same time, they were given the opportunity to present elements of their school, their city, the educational system of our country and our culture, through digital creations (presentations, videos, quizzes) and artistic events (theatre, dance, music ). The mobility also included visits to places of historical and cultural interest (Hagia Sophia, Royal Cistern, Blue Mosque, Galata Tower, etc.), which helped the students experientially realize their value and travel through time. The group of students and teachers also visited the Patriarchate, with the Ecumenical Patriarch Mr. Bartholomew to talk with them and give them his blessing.
As stated in a press release, the 5th General High School of Ioannina, having received Erasmus accreditation from 2020, will seek to implement related actions in the next school year, aimed at its extroversion and internationalization.
