A young Cuban, identified as Kevin Luis Griñan Reyna, was found dead in the La Margarita River, a landfill in Sagua de Tánamo, Holguín.
The news was reported by Yosmany Mayeta Labrada through his social networks, where he also shared photographs of the tragic event.
“They find a young man from Sagua de Tánamo lifeless. I received photos of a young man named Kevin Luis, who appeared dead this morning in the ‘La Margarita’ river, in Sagua de Tánamo. This place, as can clearly be seen, is a landfill (…) he lived with his relatives on Calle Hugo Argüelles, Bazán, Reparto Primero de Mayo, Sagua de Tánamo, Holguín”he said in a publication.
Subsequently, the body of the young Cuban was taken to his home after midnight to be watched by his loved ones, after spending several hours in a hospital in Holguín for the autopsy.
“After 12:20 in the morning this Monday, the body of young Kevin Luis Griñan Reyna arrived at his house, so that he could be watched by his family and friends.”.
So far, it is presumed that Kevin’s death was a murder, and there are several young people detained and under police investigation.
The suspects reside in “El Jobo,” a neighborhood with high rates of violence and gang activity.

Mayeta Labrada noted that Kevin Luis leaves behind a young son, who now faces the reality of growing up without his father, another victim of the violence that strikes again and again on the communist island.
While these events occur often, the dictatorship continues to say that in Cuba, violence is nothing more than an “invention of social networks”, shamelessly mocking the people who suffer it.
