Malappuram: A woman who was undergoing treatment for her husband’s acid attack died. Ashna Sherin (27), a resident of Chembrassery, died.

Last Saturday, Ashna’s husband Shanavas, a resident of Chokkad Koorad, attacked her. He was undergoing treatment at Kozhikode Medical College Hospital following severe burns.

Ashna and Shanawaz broke up due to a family dispute. Shanawaz broke into Ashna’s house and poured acid. Shanavas also suffered burns during the attack. He is under treatment.
